Crianza red wine born from a collaboration between two wineries: Bodegues Ribas and Vins Miquel Gelabert. Currently, only our winery produces it with native grapes exclusively from our vineyards. Its pleasant bouquet is reminiscent of the magnificent sunsets of the island of Mallorca.
Grape varieties: Callet, Manto Negro, Fogoneu and Gorgollassa (all from old vines).
Growing system: in goblet and trellis.
Location of the vineyard: Manacor and Felanitx
Denomination of Origin: D.O.P. Pla and Llevant, Mallorca
type of wine: crianza red
Alcoholic strength: 13.5 % vol.
Fermentation: stainless steel tank at controlled temperature.
Aging: 12 months in French and American oak barrels (new) followed by bottle aging.
Tasting notes: Medium robe, cherry red wine with purple rim. Very complex aromas reminiscent of jams, wild fruits, especially blackberry, there is also coffee, cocoa, leather, toasted aromas and a combination of spices. Silky and elegant in the mouth, full-bodied, round and balanced, with a long aftertaste reminiscent of dried fruits and Mediterranean herbs.
Recommendations: goes well with stews, red meat stews, grilled meats and old cheeses.
Serving system: serve between 18º-20ºC.
Currently, eleven small estates make up the 9 hectares of vineyards that produce the grapes for our wines. Most of them are located in the municipality of Manacor and some in Felanitx and Petra, and they are all registered in D.O.P. Pla i Llevant de Mallorca.
We grow all the grapes we produce and do not buy grapes from third parties, thus controlling the entire production process.
